I believe that from day to day each of us carries thoughts, feelings, wishes, fears, and fantasies in our hearts and minds. While we are typically aware of some of these thoughts and feelings, it is often those that we are unaware of that contribute to depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and self-defeating behaviors. Overeating, overspending, and failing to meet our own career or personal goals are a few examples of the many forms of self defeating behavior. Individual psychotherapy offers a life-changing opportunity to develop a deep and nuanced understanding of ourselves and why we think, feel, and behave as we do. The more we understand ourselves, the more options become available to us to make the changes in our lives that we desire. I sincerely value and enjoy helping others journey through this process of self-discovery and self-improvement.
