Professional Staff Greg Konopka, MA, LPC, CAADC Contact (734)662-6300 ext. Personal Statement As a counselor, I strongly believe in a person-centered approach and I work collaboratively with my clients in order to achieve the most meaningful and effective results from the therapeutic relationship. Although you are the expert about yourself, I will be available to help you through your process by offering insight, education, skills, and more. One thing I do not do is give advice. It is not my right to suggest what you should do with your life. What I do is help you figure it out if you are unsure and, together, develop a means to achieve your goal. Although I have been trained in and practiced various types of therapy styles, I tailor my approach based on what seems to be most effective for the individual. Although you may be seeking counseling for a specific reason, don't be surprised if we discuss different areas of your life. A person is a complicated being with countless aspects interweaving with each other. Becoming aware of those connections can lead to better understanding of one's self and being able to navigate one's path in a healthy direction. General Qualifications
