Personal Statement

I find fear to be the primary barrier to seeking treatment. When considering therapy, you may be concerned about who your therapist will be, what they will think, what you should say or if it can help. I believe that successful outcomes are achieved through the establishment of trust, safety and consistency in treatment. At the start of treatment, I require only one thing from my patients, and that is to show up. Show up, tell me why you’re here and we’ll take care of the rest together.

Primarily, I work with children, adolescents and families but also provide individual treatment for adults. My primary mode of treatment is psychodynamic but I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions throughout.

“When we were children we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability…To be alive is to be vulnerable.” – Madeleine L’Engle
